Verner Panton, a remarkable innovator of 20th Century design, envisioned a colorful future. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Panton initially worked in Arne Jacobsen's architectural practice. He established his own design office in 1955 and is credited with the design of the very first single-form injection-moulded plastic chair - the Stacking chair designed in 1960. His futuristic and colorful designs are now icons of the modern era.
